Fuses – low voltage and asbestos

Two types of fuses containing asbestos were used on electricity meter boards in the 1960s:   

  • Henley – fuse has a millboard wrap around the fuse element 

  • Federal – fuse has a friable asbestos matting. 

The fuse contains a friable core.
