Workers and Workplaces

If you have a query relating to asbestos in the workplace or you are an asbestos worker contact SafeWork NSW.

Contact your local council’s environmental health officer.

Contact your property manager to discuss the issue.

If you can't reach a resolution, contact your local council’s environmental health officer.

The removal of asbestos is unlikely to be a risk to you if:

the area where the asbestos is being removed is secure so there is no unauthorised access
there is asbestos signage displayed
workers are wearing full personal protective equipment.

If you are still concerned, contact your local council if the removal is at a residential property.

Contact SafeWork NSW if the removal is on any other property.
